Philippe: “At the Palace and at the Privilege we met Artists like Andy Warhol, Grace Jones, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andrée Putman, Madame Grès,
Herbie Hancock and George Duke who were both in the same record company as us (CBS ). Paris, city of lights, universe of artistic creation,
full of enthusiasm and creators in all fields (music, cinema, photography, fashion, design, painting etc …) “.
Rig Cruz. Would you please introduce me to both of you? How did you get together as a music group?
Hello I am Martine, Hello I am Philippe,
Martine: “Brother and sister and also friends and accomplices since always, we form the Music Group INTERVIEW”.
Philippe: “It was at the age of 10 that I started my first ‘steps’ in music by making my percussions with barrels of laundry detergent
that my mother put aside to make my drums. No doubt the traces of my childhood, on this beautiful island of TAHiTi where I lived,
lulled by the sound of percussion. Then began my first experiences in music or I learned about the drums.
Then from the age of 12, I have a revelation while listening the group Chic, Bernard Edwards on bass and more particularly Nile Rodgers
and his “magic” guitar. It was from that moment that my first “Riffs” guitar resonate in the family home where I will spend long nights “taming” this instrument.
After having had several groups, I am looking for a singer and it is working at the Creator Claude Montana that Martine meets the American Top Model Wallis Franken
who will join the INTERViEW group. After several years of work, the famous hit “Salut les Salauds” remixed by the legendary German DJ Bernie Bernthaler (Club 54 in NYC,
Elysées Matignon Paris 8th, etc …). will see the light of day and will make “a success in France” and in the international charts. “
Martine: “I am never far since I am his first listening and his artistic advisor “.
Philippe: “Before recreating the new INTERViEW group with Martine, we each pursued our respective passions, Martine in Fashion and I in Design,
to then get together and organize event evenings for cinema, music and fashion in the most prestigious places of Paris.
The Central (the Queen) is the place where we met David Guetta who came to our parties that he adored and who made him want to do parties.
Then we worked with him at the “Folies Pigalle” and for the little anecdote he came to look for sounds in our music studio.
Then it was the Palace where we worked with David Guetta and Cathy and then “Les Bains”. During these parties, French and international stars

Martine: “Then we set up our company in Design and Multimedia, we worked with brands like Sony / Playstation, Micromania,
Tony Hawk video game for Activision, etc .. while continuing the Music and quite naturally we decided to reform our group by releasing our album “Lovely Ensemble” composed of 12 tracks. “
Rig Cruz. Also introduce us to your music.
Philippe: “Passion, imagination and Style emanate from our music, plus the DNA of the 80’s. This is why it is so well perceived by our audience”.
Martine: “We are a real duo of Parisian artists, and we know what it means to be” brilliant “, it is the Press and our FANS who say it.
Our Dance-Pop sound is colored with unique vibrations stamped “Made in Paris for Ze World”. Our new album “Only” consists of 10 songs and there are also many re-mixes of our old Album “Lovely Ensemble” (12 tracks). Everything is available on all the good music platforms “.
Rig Cruz. You are both highly creative. Who is the songwriter in the group, or do you write as a team? Tell me how you write your songs.
Philippe: “We are both authors/composers, we compose with four hands.
Martine: “Philippe builds the foundations and I do the decoration”. We put poetic phrases all over the post-it notes, and we put them together according to our moods.
Our texts are often double meaning. In one sentence as Philippe would say: “We are like a tree, I am the roots and Martine the Flowers … “
Philippe: “I often wake up at night, in a great hurry to go to my studio to compose new guitar riffs that I do in one take so as not to lose” the Magic of the moment “.

Rig Cruz. Would you please tell me the story behind your two favorite songs?
Philippe: “New life”, written in a very particular context … Martine was in the hospital after having been operated on for a very important operation,
she wrote the lyrics while I composed the music in the studio!
“Nice secret” because we like secrets … Shuuuuuuuush…”
Rig Cruz. You are both good looking. In your videos you use caricatures of yourselves. What can you tell me about the videos? How do you make them?
Philippe: “We love fantasy and science fiction and that’s why we found it natural to create an imaginary world.
We draw our characters and we animate them after hours and hours of scholarly calculation.
We are on new 3D experiments and we are testing surprising ultra-dimensional techniques for our next visuals.”
Martine: “We sometimes make models in balsa wood, metal and plasticine to have an instant overview of our next visual clips.
Sometimes I paint them on my canvases, it’s a gift that I inherited from my paternal grandfather who was an Artist / Painter. “
Rig Cruz. What is your most popular song? Please tell me about it.
Philippe: “Salut Les Salauds” is our most famous song that launches rap in France. This title will be ranked in the top 10 of the charts
with Artists like Michaël Jackson, David Bowie, George Duke, etc … “
Martine: “It has been released in many countries on Vinyl, CD and Song on Label: RCA, CBS, Durium, INTERVIEW, BMC Records, Astral Soda, EMI Publishing,

Martine:” Bonjour Rig , nous habitons prés de la nature, à côté d’un bois qui ressemble à Central Park. “

Nous y avons rencontré des Artistes Talentueux comme Prince, Duran Duran ou Sade aux “Bains Douches”, David Bowie au “Bus Palladium”
et Mick Jagger à “l’Elysées Matignon” qui nous demandait où il fallait aller pour continuer la soirée, on lui disait: “c’est au Palace ”
et il nous répondait: ” OK je viens avec vous ! Nous partions dans notre Grande Ford Tonus tout joyeux et fiers d’être en si Belle compagnie pour continuer la fête.”
Philippe: “Au Palace et au Privilège nous y croisions des Artistes comme Andy Warhol, Grace Jones, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andrée Putman, Madame Grès,
Herbie Hancock et George Duke qui étaient tous deux dans la même maison de disques que nous (CBS).Paris, ville de lumières, univers de la création artistique, pleine
de fougue et de créateurs dans tous les domaines,(musique, cinéma, photo, mode, design, peinture etc…)”.
Martine: “Comment ne pas avoir envie de devenir Artiste à notre tour aprés avoir baigné dans ce monde merveilleux ?”
Rig Cruz. Pourriez-vous vous présenter tous les deux? Comment vous êtes-vous réunis en tant que groupe de musique?
Bonjour je suis Martine , Bonjour je suis Philippe,
Martine: “Frère et soeur et aussi amis et complices depuis toujours, nous formons le Groupe de Musique INTERVIEW “.
Philippe: “C’est à l’âge de 1O ans que je commence mes premiers « pas » dans la musique en récupérant des tonneaux de lessive vides
que ma mère me mettait de côté pour fabriquer mes tambours. Sans doute les traces de mon enfance, sur cette belle île de TAHiTi ou j’ai vécu,
bercée par le son des percussions. Commence alors mes premières expériences dans la musique ou je m’initie à la batterie. Puis dès l’âge de 12 ans, j’ai une révélation en écoutant
le groupe Chic, Bernard Edwards à la basse et plus particulièrement Nile Rodgers et sa guitare “magique”. C’est à partir de ce moment là que mes premiers “Riffs”de guitare résonneront
dans la maison familiale ou je passerai de longues nuits “à dompter” cet instrument. Après avoir eu plusieurs groupes, je suis à la recherche d’une chanteuse et c’est en travaillent
chez le Créateur Claude Montana que Martine fait la connaissance de la Top Modèle Américaine Wallis Franken qui intégrera le groupe INTERViEW. Après plusieurs années de travail,
le célèbre hit “Salut les Salauds” remixé par le légendaire DJ allemand Bernie Bernthaler (Club 54 à NYC, l’Elysées Matignon Paris 8ème, etc…). verra le jour et fera “un succès en France”
et dans les charts internationaux.”
Martine:” Je ne suis jamais bien loin puisque je suis sa première écoute et sa conseillère artistique.
